The place
In 1961 the painters Hans Hartung and Anna-Eva Bergman bought a two-hectare olive grove in the hills of Antibes and designed a house and two studios on it; they were built from 1968 to 1973, and the couple lived and worked here until their deaths. The foundation, created in 1994, keeps the largest collection of their work and the house itself, listed as remarkable contemporary architecture.
