Musée Jean Cocteau - Collection Severin Wunderman
Rudy Ricciotti's seafront museum for Cocteau, closed since the 2018 storm

In 2005 the collector Séverin Wunderman gave Menton some 1,800 works, about a thousand of them by Jean Cocteau, on condition that a building be made for them. Rudy Ricciotti won the competition in 2008 with a slightly truncated triangle of 2,700 square metres whose broken façade is meant to reflect the many sides of Cocteau's work; the museum opened in November 2011.
On 29 October 2018 the waves of storm Adrian flooded its stores, and the museum has been closed since; the works affected have largely been restored, and Cocteau exhibitions are shown at the Bastion in the meantime.
Musée Jean Cocteau - Collection Severin Wunderman is a museum on Quai de Monléon in Menton. The station Menton - Garavan is 1500 m away (about 23 min on foot).
