Hans-Georg Tersling built the Grand Hôtel du Cap-Martin in 1890, on land bought by an Englishman, Calvin White. Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth of Austria stayed here – she spent several months at a time between 1894 and 1897 – and the former Empress Eugénie lodged her guests here while her villa Cyrnos was being built.

Grand Hôtel du Cap-Martin is a building on Avenue Douine in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. The station Carnolès is 1250 m away (about 19 min on foot).
