Monks of the order of Chalais came from the abbey of Prads in 1199 and settled in the valley of the Brague, where the bishop of Antibes allowed them to build a church; it was finished by 1230. The abbey passed to Lérins in the fourteenth century and remained a priory until 1788.

The Romanesque church, now the parish church of Saint-Blaise, is close to early Cistercian art; its bell tower was added in the nineteenth century. The conventual buildings house the heritage museum Le Vieux Valbonne.

Église Saint-Blaise is a place of worship on Rue de la Paroisse in Valbonne. The bus stop Valbonne - Hôtel de Ville is 150 m away (about 2 min on foot).
