The fishermen's chapel of Villefranche probably dates from the second half of the sixteenth century; it later served as a store for nets and as the court where the fishermen's prud'homie settled its disputes. In 1957 Jean Cocteau designed and painted a decoration covering the whole interior, and worked on the façade too – the first chapel he painted.

Five main scenes: two of Mediterranean life, three from the life of Saint Peter. It stands on the Quai Courbet at the foot of the old town, at the entrance to the Port de la Santé.

Chapelle Saint-Pierre is a place of worship on Quai de l'Amiral Courbet in Villefranche-sur-Mer. The station Villefranche-sur-Mer is 450 m away (about 7 min on foot).
