The place
A neoclassical villa finished in 1867 on plans attributed to Charles Garnier, at the tip of the Cap in an eleven-hectare park by the sea. The Scot James Wyllie named it in 1873 – «Eilenroc» is his wife Cornélie’s name backwards – and Hélène Beaumont left it to the town in 1982, on condition that the park be opened to the public. Today there is an olive grove, a rose garden and a scented garden laid out in 2011.
Good to know. At the tip of the Cap. The coastal path below the villa is closed until May 2027.
