Intercontinental Carlton Cannes
The Belle Époque palace of the Croisette, with its two domed towers

The Carlton was built for the hotelier Henri Ruhl by the architects Charles Dalmas of Nice and Marcellin Mayère of Cannes, in 1909–10 and again in 1912–13, when the neighbouring Hôtel de la Plage was pulled down to double its size and the second tower went up – a neoclassical Belle Époque palace on the seafront.
It has been an inscrit historic monument since 10 October 1984 and carries the Patrimoine du XXe siècle label; in 2023 it became one of the first hotels of the Regent brand.
