Cabanon de vacances
Le Corbusier's cabanon of 1952, his only holiday house, beside the Étoile de Mer

Le Corbusier spent his summers on the Cap Martin from 1937. In 1952, next to the Étoile de Mer, the café of his friend Thomas Rebutato, he built a cabanon for his wife, a prototype of the standardised holiday units he proposed. He drowned in the sea in front of it on 27 August 1965. The cabanon and the Étoile de Mer are visited with E-1027, on the same site.
Cabanon de vacances is a listed building in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. The station Direction Marseille is 450 m away (about 7 min on foot).
