phare d'Agay
The square lighthouse of the Baumette point, with a stone to Saint-Exupéry
The Agay lighthouse, or Baumette lighthouse, stands on the Pointe des Baumettes: a square tower with a keeper's house of cut stone and brick, built after a first project of 1881 and renovated in 1968; it is now automated. A memorial stone recalls Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who on 31 July 1944 is said to have flown over his family's house nearby before disappearing at sea.
phare d'Agay is a lighthouse on Boulevard Eugène Brieux in Saint-Raphaël. The bus stop La Baumette is 200 m away (about 3 min on foot).
