Phare du Cap Ferrat
The lighthouse at the southern tip, rebuilt 1949–52 after 1944

A sixteenth-century fire tower once guided ships into the Rade de Villefranche from this point; the engineers of Piedmont-Sardinia replaced it with a lighthouse, restored in 1827–28, which German troops destroyed in 1944. The present octagonal stone tower was built by the Ponts et Chaussées from 1949 and lit in 1952; it is automated, and stands about a hundred metres from the Grand-Hôtel.
Phare du Cap Ferrat is a listed building on Chemin de la Carrière in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. The bus stop La Mauresque is 400 m away (about 6 min on foot).
